Individual and Group Timetables
Adults these days have to juggle study commitments, family and work. For this reason we guarantee flexibility with customised time-tables, mini-group courses and individual courses to make the most of your time.
Learning Styles
Studying English as an adult can mean remembering how to study or even learning a new approach to studying. This is both challenging and fun. Our teachers will help you find your own personal way of effectively learning the language.
Speaking skills
We make developing speaking skills a priority as many students who first enrol in Bennett Languages are initially apprehensive about speaking English. We help our students overcome emotional blocks and gain confidence in communicating. This also involves practising the particular features of English pronunciation which are different from Italian.
Listening skills
Listening is often nominated as the most difficult skill by Italian learners. The key to good comprehension is understanding the features of English pronunication and intonation. We also train our students in listening strategies.
Grammar
Grammar is the skeleton of language and has traditionally been given priority in language teaching. We continue this emphasis but teach grammar in a meaningful way and in a real context so that it is useful and relevant.
Writing
English and Italian writing styles are very different so we analyse and practise the anglo-saxon ways of writing emails, letters and other forms. We develop structure and building text through use of vocabulary and a range of expressions.
Reading
What we read dictates how we read, so we look at reading strategies and how to cope with different texts and new vocabulary.
Exams
We offer Cambridge and IELTS Exam preparation courses which are recognised by universities and companies in Italy and all over the world.
At Bennett Languages our teachers have access to all the latest technology for the teaching of English including computers, DVDs and CD-ROMs.
Furthermore our teachers are trained, authorised examiners in IELTS, KET, PET, FCE and YLE and so are in a perfect position to offer you exam guidance and preparation for all the Cambridge exams and IELTS
We at Bennett Language encourage self-study and so lessons can also be supplemented by:
